This guide is for teams using the hosted OpenSRE account and an optional organization-managed gateway at app.opensre.com.

1) Create your organization account

Sign up at app.opensre.com to create or join your organization workspace. The same account activates the hosted model when an engineer signs in from the CLI.

2) Complete workspace onboarding

In the web app, complete the available workspace onboarding to:
  • Confirm the organization and membership
  • Review account usage
  • Provision the organization-managed gateway, if your plan includes one

3) Run the local CLI

Each engineer installs OpenSRE and signs in with the organization account:
The browser sign-in activates the account-hosted model. GitHub and production systems are still optional integrations; account sign-in does not connect them.

4) Manage the organization gateway

An organization admin provisions the gateway from Agent Backend settings. Once it exists, a signed-in shell user can ask OpenSRE to check its health. Admins can also ask the shell to start or stop it; both operations require approval. Stopping the gateway keeps its configuration and credentials. Remote loops and chat integrations remain stopped until an admin starts it again. See Deployment.

5) Configure integrations locally

Organization-wide hosted connectors are not available in the current CLI release. Configure the integrations an engineer or self-hosted gateway needs on that machine:
Start with Integrations overview. The signed-in shell uses the account-hosted model. A bring-your-own provider is needed only where nobody is signed in: self-hosted gateways and headless opensre ask jobs on CI machines, see LLM providers.
